HOUSTON, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Houston Astros infielder Jeff Keppinger's has landed on the 15-day disabled list with an injured big left toe.

Keppinger, who injured the toe Tuesday, is hitting .285 with five home runs and 46 RBI in 108 games. He leads the Astros with 28 doubles.

Houston recalled infielder Anderson Hernandez from Class AAA Round Rock to fill Keppinger's roster spot. Hernandez was 2-for-13 with a walk in six games earlier this season with the Astros.
