
ATLANTA, Aug. 19 (UPI) -- Tom Brady completed 10-of-12 passes for 85 yards and a score Thursday, helping bring the New England Patriots a 28-10 pre-season victory over Atlanta.
Brady threw a 4-yard scoring pass to Aaron Hernandez early in the second quarter to give New England a 14-3 lead. The Patriots ran off 28 straight points after the Falcons had scored first on Matt Bryant's 46-yard field goal.
Fred Taylor gave New England the lead with a 28-yard touchdown run with 3:15 to go in the opening period. Sammy Morris ran 20 yards for a score in the third period and Brian Hoyer completed the New England offense with a 24-yard touchdown throw to Rob Gronkowski.
The Patriots have won both their pre-season games.
Matt Ryan was 8-of-13 for 76 yards for Atlanta (1-1). Michael Turner gained 32 yards on eight carries.
