Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft

ST. LOUIS, Aug. 19 (UPI) -- The St. Louis Cardinals said Thursday they picked up infielder Pedro Feliz and cash from Houston for minor league pitcher David Carpenter.
Feliz hit .221 with four home runs and 31 RBI in 97 games for the Astros this season while playing first base and third base.
Feliz, 35, started for Philadelphia when the Phillies won the 2008 World Series. He is a career .252 hitter with 139 home runs and 589 RBI in 1,262 games with San Francisco, Philadelphia and Houston.
The Cards moved catcher Jason LaRue (concussion) from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day DL to make room for Feliz.
Carpenter was 5-3 with a 2.36 ERA and 20 saves in 49 relief appearances at Class A Palm Beach.
