Heat's Haslem hit with drug charge

MIAMI, Aug. 16 (UPI) -- Miami Heat forward Udonis Haslem was charged with possessing marijuana after being pulled over for speeding Sunday, court records showed.

The Miami Herald reported Haslem was stopped about 3 a.m. when he was allegedly clocked doing 78 miles per hour in a 60 mph zone. Miami-Dade County court records showed Haslem was charged with possessing more than 20 grams of pot.

Haslem and a passenger were expected to be jailed, the report said.

The seven-year Heat veteran recently signed a five-year contract.
