MLB: Toronto 4, Los Angeles Angels 1

ANAHEIM, Calif., Aug. 15 (UPI) -- Ricky Romero baffled the Angels on one run over seven innings Sunday and the Toronto Blue Jays handled Los Angeles 4-1.

Romero (10-7) celebrated his new $30 million, five-year contract with his third consecutive victory, yielding six hits, walking three and striking out four to give Toronto the rubber match of a three-game series at Angels Stadium.

Jason Frasor tossed a scoreless eighth and Kevin Gregg got his 27th save by striking out the side in the final frame.

Aaron Hill drove in runs in the fourth and sixth innings and Adam Lind homered for the Blue Jays.

Dan Haren (1-3) surrendered four runs on nine hits in seven frames for Los Angeles.
