Horton wins U.S. gymnastics title

HARTFORD, Conn., Aug. 14 (UPI) -- Jonathan Horton won the U.S. men's gymnastics all-around title for the second straight year Friday.

Horton, who won the silver medal in the horizontal bar event at the 2008 Olympics, had a total score of 181.65 points to edge Danell Leyva by 2.3 points.

Brandon Wynn finished third in the all-around with 178.7.

In the individual events, Josh Dixon was champion in the floor exercise, Daniel Ribiero won the pommel horse, Wynn won the rings and Steven Legendre captured the vault. Leyva was the winner in parallel bars and Chris Brooks claimed the horizontal bar.
