KRASNAYA POLYANA, Russia, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- A Swedish ski official working on the 2014 Winter Olympics died in the presence of his family in Russia, a report said.
Jan Erik Hedstrom, 50, suffered a heart attack and died in Krasnaya Polyana, Russia, the Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported Thursday.

Hedstrom was a technical expert for the International Ski Federation and was working with the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee, the report said.
"(The) Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee is deeply saddened that, after a life of tremendous contributions to skiing, Jan Erik Hedstrom passed away after suffering a heart attack early this morning," the Web site Sochi.live said.
Hedstrom's wife and two sons were present when he died, the report said.
