HAVEN, Wis., Aug. 11 (UPI) -- Scottish golfer Colin Montgomerie won a court injunction preventing a tabloid from printing a story about his private sex life, Golf.com reported Wednesday.

The Web site said the 47-year-old European Ryder Cup captain obtained the London court ruling last month to prevent the News of the World from publishing comments from his ex-girlfriend revealing details about their relationship.

The order bars former model Paula Tagg, who had dated the golfer in 2006, from revealing "the private details of a personal, intimate and sexual relationship" between the two -- and specifically prevents the publication of information "concerning acts of a sexual nature," Golf.com reported.

When reporters queried Montgomerie about the injunction as prepared for the PGA Championship at the Whistling Straits course in Wisconsin, he responded: "Excuse me, I'm here to talk about The Ryder Cup, okay. So please, no further questions on that or any other subject regarding anything -- or anything regarding my private life."

Montgomerie in June admitted his marriage to second wife Gaynor Knowles was having problems amid reports he had been seeing the former girlfriend, The Telegraph reported.
