Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft

SEATTLE, Aug. 11 (UPI) -- Dallas Braden tossed a four-hit complete game Wednesday and the Oakland Athletics handed Seattle a 5-1 loss.
Braden (7-8) shut the Mariners down with 104 pitches, 69 of them for strikes. The Oakland lefty notched his third win in four starts, yielding two walks and striking out six as the A's salvaged one win in a three-game series at Safeco Field.
Mark Ellis went 3-for-4 and doubled home a pair of runs in the fifth to put the Oakland up 4-0.
Coco Crisp and Landon Powell also drove in runs for the victors.
Luke French (1-3) absorbed the loss, surrendering four runs on seven hits in six innings of work for Seattle.
