TORONTO, Aug. 11 (UPI) -- Bill Hall hit two of Boston's four home runs Wednesday to back up an eight-inning effort from Clay Buchholz, sending the Red Sox coasting past Toronto 10-1.
Hall broke a 1-1 tie with a solo shot in the second and then hit a two-run blast in the fourth. He also singled in a run during Boston's five-run fifth.
Prior to Hall's RBI single in the fifth, J.D. Drew hit a solo homer and Adrian Beltre delivered a three-run shot. Since the All-Star break, Beltre has had at least one hit in 23 of 26 games.
Buchholz (13-5) gave up an unearned run on five hits with four strikeouts in helping Boston win its third straight. He has won five of his last six decisions.
Shaun Marcum (10-6) surrendered eight runs on seven hits in four-plus innings to take the loss.
Boston has downed the Blue Jays in nine of their last 11 meetings.
