MLB: Minnesota 5, Cleveland 4

CLEVELAND, Aug. 8 (UPI) -- Orlando Hudson got a key two-run double in his first game back from the disabled list Sunday and the Minnesota Twins edged Cleveland 5-4.

Trailing 4-0 entering the fifth, the Twins erupted for five runs to take the lead. Michael Cuddyer began the comeback with a lead-off walk off David Huff (2-11) and Jim Thome followed with his 578th career homer to deep right field.

After J.J. Hardy singled and Jason Repko doubled, Hudson slashed a hit into the right-center field gap, scoring both runners to tie the game. Hudson went to third on a wild pitch and scored the go-ahead run on Delmon Young's fielder's choice ground out.

Hudson was activated before the game after sitting out two weeks with a strained oblique muscle.

Brian Duensing (5-1) survived a rocky start to pick up the victory, allowing three earned runs on nine hits in 7 1/3 innings.

Matt Capps hurled a 1-2-3 ninth to pick up his 27th save of the season and second for the Twins, who pulled to within a half-game of the Chicago White Sox atop the American League Central.
