ATLANTA, Aug. 7 (UPI) -- Pat Burrell lofted a sacrifice fly that brought home Aubrey Huff in the 11th inning Friday, giving the San Francisco Giants a 3-2 win over Atlanta.

The Giants scored an unearned run in the ninth to force extra innings and then took advantage of wildness on the part of Peter Moylan to produce a win that moved them within a game of San Diego for the lead in the National League West.

Moylan (3-2) walked Huff and Buster Posey to open the 11th and after Posey was erased at second on a fielder's choice grounder from Juan Uribe, Pablo Sandoval was walked intentionally to load the bases.

Burrell followed with a fly ball to left that was deep enough to score Huff.

Brian Wilson worked a perfect bottom of the 11th for his 32nd save, preserving the victory for Javier Lopez (3-2), who struck out two while working the 10th.

Atlanta committed two errors in the ninth, allowing the Giants to tie it. Posey reached to lead off the inning on a fielding error by second baseman Omar Infante and Posey eventually scored when third baseman Chipper Jones booted a grounder off the bat of Sandoval.

After a rain delay at the start of the game, Atlanta scored its runs on homers by Alex Gonzalez and Jones.

The Braves had their lead over second-place Philadelphia in the National League East trimmed to one game.
