Cejka takes 2-shot Turning Stone lead

VERONA, N.Y., Aug. 7 (UPI) -- Alex Cejka got hot down the stretch Saturday, birdying the last three holes for a 5-under 67 and a two-shot lead at the Turning Stone Resort Championship.

Cejka ended the third round with a 15-under 201 and seemed poised to notch his first career PGA Tour win.

Cejka, 39, is a native of the Czech Republic but plays under the German flag.

Chris Couch had a fine round -- a bogey-free 63 -- and was the clubhouse leader for several hours until Cejka's late flurry. He ended Saturday alone in second place at 13-under 203.

Billy Mayfair made a move, advancing to third place at minus-12 with a round of 66.

Knotted one shot further back at 11-under 205 were Charles Warren (63), Bill Lunde (64), Robert Garrigus (68) and Chris Tidland (70).
