MIAMI, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Albert Pujols had a three-run homer among his four RBI Friday and Adam Wainwright threw a complete game in bringing St. Louis a 7-0 win over Florida.
Wainwright (16-6) produced the eighth complete game and second shutout of his six-year career -- all of it spent with the Cardinals. Both of his shutouts have come this season.
He allowed two hits, walked three and struck out seven while throwing 110 pitches.
Pujols went 3-for-5 and finished a triple away from the cycle. His homer, No. 28 for the season, came in the first inning and he added an RBI double during a three-run fourth.
The Cardinals have won five of their last seven and they stayed a half game in front of second-place Cincinnati in the National League Central.
The loss went to Ricky Nolasco (12-8), who gave up all seven runs on 10 hits over five innings. It was Florida's fifth straight setback.
