DETROIT, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Alex Rios and Alexei Ramirez each scored three runs and drove in two Tuesday in a 12-2 Chicago White Sox rout of Detroit in the first game of a doubleheader.

The White Sox twice had four-run rallies in the game, which was a makeup game from a May 17 rainout, in handing the Tigers their ninth loss in 11 games.

Chicago roughed up Detroit starter Rick Porcello (4-10) for eight hits and seven runs in 4 1/3 innings. Porcello is 0-6 in his last eight starts. A total of 10 Chicago players had hits, with Ramirez's four-hit game leading the way.

Mark Buehrle (10-8) took advantage of the run support to collect the win. He allowed two runs on seven hits in 7 2/3 innings.

Chicago posted its first four-run outburst in the third when Ramirez started the inning with a single and later scored. Rios added the third RBI of the inning with a base hit and scored the fourth run.

The other four-run rally, in the seventh, saw Rios score a run and Ramirez drive in one and score another.
