CINCINNATI, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Rookie tight end Jermaine Gresham has signed with the Cincinnati Bengals, who had made him their first-round draft pick.
The team didn't say how much they will pay Gresham but The Cincinnati Enquirer reported the 6-foot-5, 261-pounder will get $15.85 million over five years, with $9.6 million guaranteed.
"Jermaine is an exceptionally talented player at his position, even among first-round draft choices," said Bengals Coach Marvin Lewis. "He's also tough and a hard worker. He puts his talent to use. We expect him to make an impact on our offense this season."
Gresham missed last season for Oklahoma because of a knee injury but took part in all of the Bengals' off-season drills.
In 2008, he caught 66 passes for 950 yards and 14 touchdowns for the Sooners and finished his college career with 111 receptions for 1,629 yards and 26 TDs.
