HOUSTON, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- Jason Michaels hit a pinch-hit grand slam homer Sunday to power the Houston Astros to a 5-2 victory over Milwaukee and a three-game sweep of the Brewers.
Trailing 2-0 in the seventh inning, the Astros loaded the bases on a Hunter Pence single and walks issued by Kameron Loe (1-2) to Carlos Lee and Chris Johnson.
Michaels, sent in to bat for first baseman Brett Wallace, then lined a shot over the left field scoreboard, lifting the Astros to their fifth straight win and sixth victory in seven games.
Wesley Wright (1-1) collected the win, holding Milwaukee to two runs on four hits in seven innings, walking one and striking out six.
Corey Hart socked his 23rd homer for Milwaukee.
Brewers starter Randy Wolf was struck in the hand by Pence's seventh-inning single and exited the game. Up to that point he had held the Astros scoreless on five hits.
