COMMERCE CITY, Colo., July 31 (UPI) -- Colorado defender Julien Baudet scored an own goal Saturday, helping FC Dallas play to a 1-1 draw with the Rapids.

Dallas (6-2-9) took a 1-0 lead in the 22nd minute when Baudet deflected a crossing pass from Jair Benitez past his own goalie, Matt Pickens, and Dallas rode the mistake to remain unbeaten on the road since a 2-0 loss at Red Bull New York in mid-April.

Colorado (6-5-6) got the equalizer just 4 minutes later when Mehdi Ballouchy scored on a penalty kick past Kevin Hartman for his third goal of the season.

After that, neither team was able to break the deadlock through the rest of regulation and stoppage time.
