Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft

SAN FRANCISCO, July 31 (UPI) -- Pat Burrell belted a two-run homer in the eighth inning Saturday, sending the San Francisco Giants to a 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Trailing 1-0 with two outs, Dodgers pitcher Hong-Chih Kuo hit Buster Posey with a pitch and was pulled in favor of closer Jonathan Broxton (3-3). Broxton fell behind Burrell 3-0 before surrendering a homer over the left field wall for the go-ahead score.
The blast made a winner of Guillermo Mota (1-3), who was credited with the victory after striking out Rafael Furcal and Matt Kemp to strand two runners in the eighth. He then finished up with a 1-2-3 ninth.
The win was San Francisco's fourth in five games, while Los Angeles suffered its fourth straight loss.
