HOUSTON, July 30 (UPI) -- Cornerback Kareem Jackson, a first-round choice in this year's NFL draft, has been signed by the Houston Texans.
Jackson was the 20th overall selection in the draft and is expected to start with Glover Quin at cornerback since the Texans lost first-team cornerback Dunta Robinson to Atlanta through free agency.
Jackson played in college for Alabama, leaving after his junior season. Last year he made 49 tackles and broke up 13 passes.
Terms of his deal with Houston weren't released but the Houston Chronicle said the contract covers five years and totals about $13 million, with more than $10 million guaranteed.
The Texans also signed second-round choice Ben Tate, a running back.
With the Jackson and Tate signing, Houston has signed all of its 2010 draft selections.
