Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft

LOS ANGELES, July 30 (UPI) -- Top-seeded Andy Murray overcame the loss of a set Thursday to defeat Tim Smyczek and reach the quarterfinals of the Los Angeles Tennis Open.
Murray posted a 6-1, 4-6, 6-2 victory that set up a quarterfinal match with Alejandro Falla.
Falla pulled off the day's big surprise by outlasting No. 5 seed Ernests Gulbis 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (10-8). The other second-round matches saw Feliciano Lopez eliminate Dudi Sela 7-6 (7-2), 6-4 and James Blake defeat Benjamin Becker 7-5, 7-6 (7-5).
Lopez and Blake will meet in the next round and the other quarterfinals will send Janko Tipsarevic against Marcos Baghdatis and Sam Querrey against Rainer Schuettler.
