Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft

NEW YORK, July 30 (UPI) -- The NFL announced Friday Detroit Lions President Tom Lewand had been suspended from all league activities for a month following his arrest for drunken driving.
Lewand was also fined $100,000 by the league.
He was arrested June 25 following a charity golf tournament in northern Michigan. Lewand later issued an apology and said he would accept full responsibility for his action.
The suspension will begin Aug. 25, the date of an NFL meeting in Atlanta. He will not be allowed to represent the Lions at that meeting and also will be barred from the team's facilities and cannot attend games during the suspension.
