GSTAAD, Switzerland, July 28 (UPI) -- Seeded players Albert Montanes and Richard Gasquet each won second-round matches Wednesday by taking a third set 6-0 at the Allianz Suisse Open in Switzerland.

Montanes, seeded fourth, rallied for a 3-6, 6-1, 6-0 victory over Andreas Haider-Maurer. Montanes won 68 percent of the points after the first set and dropped just eight points in the third set.

The seventh-seeded Gasquet got by Daniel Brands 6-7 (5-7), 6-3, 6-0. He didn't drop serve in the match and surrendered 10 points -- two while receiving -- in the third set.

Montanes and Gasquet will face each other in Friday's quarterfinals.

Also Wednesday, Daniel Gimeno-Traver defeated Andreas Beck 7-5, 6-4. Gimeno-Traver will have to wait to learn who he meets in the quarterfinals as the match between Igor Andreev and Marco Chiudinelli was suspended because of darkness as the players headed into a third-set tie-breaker.
