CHICAGO, July 27 (UPI) -- Alexei Ramirez, Paul Konerko and Andruw Jones each blasted homers Tuesday and the Chicago White Sox pounded Seattle 11-0.
Ramirez finished with three hits and drove in three runs, and A.J. Pierzynski collected a pair of hits and two RBI for the White Sox, who maintained their lead over second-place Minnesota in the American League Central.
Dayan Viciedo chipped in with two doubles and an RBI to back a strong start from Gavin Floyd (6-8), who didn't walk a batter in his seven-inning effort, in which he allowed five hits and struck out six.
Matt Thornton and Tony Pena finished the shutout with one scoreless inning each.
Seattle starter Ryan Rowland-Smith (1-10) surrendered all 11 White Sox runs in five innings.
