CLEVELAND, July 27 (UPI) -- The Cleveland Cavaliers traded guards Delonte West and Sebastian Telfair to the Minnesota Timberwolves Monday, the teams said.
In return, the Timberwolves sent guard Ramon Sessions, center Ryan Hollins and a 2013 second-round draft pick to Cleveland.
West averaged 8.8 points in 60 games, including three starts, during the 2009-10 season for Cleveland.
This month he was sentenced to electronic monitoring, community service and psychological counseling stemming from a 2007 traffic stop in which police found three guns hidden in a guitar case he had aboard a three-wheeled motorcycle.
Telfair went back to Minnesota, for whom he played from 2007-08.
Sessions averaged 8.2 points on a career-high 45.6 percent shooting last season for the Timberwolves.
Hollins, a 7-foot center, averaged 6.1 points on 55.8 percent shooting along with 2.8 rebounds for Minnesota in 2009-10.
