PHILADELPHIA, Ore., July 26 (UPI) -- Brian Schneider drove in two runs and scored two others Monday in helping the Philadelphia Phillies to a 5-4 victory over the Colorado Rockies.

Schneider contributed a two-run triple and scored the other run in Philadelphia's three-run second inning and scored a run in the sixth when the Phillies scored their other two runs.

Colorado scored two runs off Phillies starter Joe Blanton (4-6) in the first inning with Jason Giambi and Ryan Spilborghs knocking in runs. Blanton allowed only three more hits over his six innings of work. He walked three and struck out two.

Philadelphia countered in the second when Ross Gload and Greg Dobbs reached ahead of Schneider's triple to left. Schneider later scored on an error by Giambi.

Dobbs singled and Schneider walked to open the sixth before Placido Polanco and Raul Ibanez had two-out, RBI singles that made the score 5-2.

All the Philadelphia runs were charged to Colorado starter Jason Hammel (7-6), who gave up seven hits and five runs -- four earned -- in 5 2/3 innings.

The Rockies made the final score close with Seth Smith's two-out, two-run home run in the ninth.
