Fish outlasts Isner for Atlanta title

ATLANTA, July 25 (UPI) -- No. 6 seed Mardy Fish rallied from a set down Sunday to defeat fellow American John Isner and claim the Atlanta Tennis Championships.

After dropping the first frame 4-6, Fish came back to outlast Isner 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) the rest of way and take his second straight tournament after winning two weeks ago in Newport, R.I.

The title was the fifth career win for Fish, who had upset top-seeded Andy Roddick en route to the finals.

Isner was trying to win his second final of the season. At this year's Wimbledon he played the longest match in tennis history.
