BAD GASTEIN, Austria, July 24 (UPI) -- Austrian favorite Yvonne Meusburger met with defeat Saturday, losing to Timea Bacsinszky of Switzerland in the semifinals of the Gastein tournament.

Bacsinszky, the No. 2 seed, downed Meusburger 1-6, 6-4, 6-3 to advance to Sunday's final.

Whom she will face is still undecided, however, as rain washed out Saturday's second semifinal between France's Alize Cornet and Julia Goerges of Germany. They will play Sunday morning before the title match.

Bacsinszky appeared on the ropes after being blown out in the first set, dropping each of her four service games. But she rebounded in the second set, winning a pair of break points while serving at 5-4 to take the middle frame.

Rain interrupted the third set and Bacsinszky left the court after complaining to the umpire about the conditions. But she eventually returned, held serve for a 5-3 lead and then broke Meusburger in the next game to win the match.
