MIAMI, July 23 (UPI) -- Donnie Murphy singled in Gaby Sanchez from third with two out in the ninth Friday, completing a Florida comeback and giving the Marlins a 7-6 win over Atlanta.
Atlanta scored twice in the top of the ninth to take a one-run lead before the Marlins staged a rally of their own to win their third straight.
With closer Billy Wagner (5-1) on the mound, Wes Helms drew a leadoff walk in the ninth and moved to third on a one-out single by Sanchez. Hanley Ramirez was walked intentionally to load the bases before Dan Uggla struck out swinging.
Murphy came on as a pinch-hitter and while he was at the plate, a pitch by Wagner got away from catcher Brian McCann for a passed ball that allowed the game-tying run to score. Murphy then delivered his base hit to win it.
McCann had doubled home a run in the top of the ninth and Atlanta took a brief lead when Matt Diaz was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
Jose Veras (2-0) got the win despite giving up the lead in the ninth.
Uggla hit a two-run homer in the first and McCann had a three-run shot in the seventh.
