MLB: Cleveland 10, Minnesota 4

MINNEAPOLIS, July 20 (UPI) -- Travis Crowe went 4-for-5 and knocked in two runs Monday to lead a 20-hit assault and the Cleveland Indians pounded Minnesota 10-4.

Jayson Nix added three hits and two RBI and Jason Donald chipped in with a pair of hits and drove in two runs for Indians, who scored five times in the fifth inning and took the first contest of a three-game set at Target Field.

Aaron Laffey (2-3) yielded only one unearned run on five hits over five innings to collect the victory.

Minnesota starter Scott Baker (7-9) was battered for 10 hits and surrendered six runs in 4 2/3 innings.

Jim Thome homered and Delmon Young went 3-for-5 for the Twins.
