COLUMBUS, Ohio, July 13 (UPI) -- Hard-nosed right-wing Jared Boll is sticking with Columbus, signing a two-year deal with the Blue Jackets Tuesday.

Boll has played all three of his NHL seasons with Columbus, with his key stat being 555 penalty minutes. The Columbus Dispatch says his 72 fights are a league high during that period.

The 24-year-old winger also has 13 goals and 18 assists in 218 career games.

"We are very pleased to complete this two-year deal with Jared," Columbus General Manager Scott Howson said after keeping Boll from testing restricted free agency. "He has proven to be a great teammate in his three years in Columbus and we look forward to seeing him continue to grow as a player."
