DENVER, July 10 (UPI) -- Melvin Mora, Carlos Gonzalez and Brad Eldred homered to account for all of Colorado's runs Saturday and the Rockies held on to down San Diego 4-2.
Colorado has won six straight and now trails the division-leading Padres by just one game.
Mora and Gonzalez hit solo homers and Eldred contributed a two-run blast in the sixth to make it 4-0. Jason Hammel (7-3) gave up two runs in the seventh, but three relievers combined to shut down the Padres over the final 2 2/3 innings.
Huston Street came on to work a perfect ninth for his fifth save.
Wade LeBlanc (4-7) took the loss, giving up nine hits and all three homers over 5 2/3.
