NEW YORK, July 9 (UPI) -- Back-to-back, two-out homers by Melky Cabrera and Omar Infante in the seventh inning Friday lifted Atlanta to a 4-2 triumph over the New York Mets.
The teams were deadlocked at 2-2 heading into the seventh and New York starter R.A. Dickey quickly retired Brooks Conrad on strikes and Martin Prado on a fly ball to right.
Cabrera, however, hit Dickey's first pitch over the wall in right and Infante launched a 0-1 delivery to left-center. Dickey fell to 6-2.
Eric O'Flaherty (3-1), who threw only two pitches and retired the only man he faced to end the sixth inning, picked up the victory.
Takashi Saito put two runners on in the eighth, but worked his way out of trouble and Billy Wagner threw a perfect ninth for his 20th save.
Atlanta won its third straight and the division-leading Braves moved four games in front of the second-place Mets in the National League East.
