ARLINGTON, Texas, July 7 (UPI) -- Julio Bourbon's RBI single in the sixth put Texas ahead and the Rangers hung on Wednesday to defeat Cleveland 4-3.
After Michael Young smashed a two-run homer in fifth to tie the contest, Matt Treanor drilled a two-run double in the next frame off Cleveland starter Matt Talbot (8-8).
After Andres Blanco walked, Bourbon sent a grounder up the middle, scoring Treanor with the go-ahead tally to hand Texas the rubber match of a three-game set with the Indians.
Josh Hamilton got a first-inning RBI single to extend his home hitting streak to 27 games and Colby Lewis (8-5) pitched six solid innings to collect the victory.
Alexi Ogando, Frank Francisco and Neftali Feliz each contributed a scoreless inning of relief, and Feliz racked up his 23rd save of the year.
Jayson Nix homered in Cleveland's loss.
