PHILADELPHIA, July 8 (UPI) -- Brian Schneider cracked a solo home run in the bottom of the 12th inning Thursday to give the Philadelphia Phillies a 4-3 win over Cincinnati.
Schneider pounced on a changeup from Jordan Smith (2-2) and blasted it into the right field seats for the Phillies' third win in their last nine games.
Nelson Figueroa (2-1) worked two innings of relief for the win. Shane Victorino went 3-for-4, including a solo home run.
Cincinnati's Joey Votto celebrated his late inclusion on the National League All-Star squad with a solo home run.
Philadelphia took a 3-2 lead in the eighth inning on a sacrifice fly by Jimmy Rollins but the Reds rallied in the ninth when pinch-hitter Miguel Cairo doubled off Brad Lidge, driving Votto in from third with the tying run.
