Jered Weaver (8-4) took the loss with four runs on seven hits over 6 1/3 innings. Mike Napoli drove in the only run for Los Angeles, which has lost four of its last five games.

The game started after a rain delay of 1 hour, 41 minutes.

The White Sox took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on a sacrifice fly that scored Juan Pierre.

Napoli tied the score with an RBI single in the fourth, but Alex Rios put Chicago back into the lead with a solo home run in the sixth.

Jones connected for his 399th career home run and 11th of the season in the seventh inning to make it 3-1. Pierre drove in Dayan Viciedo with a single later in the inning to close out the scoring.
