Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft

NEWPORT, R.I., July 5 (UPI) -- Fourth-seeded Olivier Rochus breezed past Edouard Roger-Vasselin Monday in the first round of the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships at Newport, R.I.
Rochus posted a 7-6 (7-2) 6-4 win to advance to the second round of the grass-court tournament.
Eighth-seeded former Newport champ Taylor Dent was ousted by Japan's Go Soeda 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 after Dent racked up nine double faults and lost serve three times.
American wild card Ryan Harrison upended sixth-seeded Slovakian Karol Beck 6-1, 6-2 and Jamaican Dustin Brown prevailed over German Bjorn Phau 7-6 (7-3), 6-7 (7-9), 6-4.
