
SANDY, Utah, July 3 (UPI) -- Alvaro Saborio scored twice in the second half Friday and Real Salt Lake ran its home winning streak to 18 games with a 5-0 rout of New England.
Fabian Espindola, Jamison Olave and Robbie Findley scored a goal apiece for RSL (8-3-3), which extended its unbeaten streak to nine games.
The Revolution (3-9-2) lost their third straight and their seventh out of 11. It was the seventh time during the stretch that New England was held scoreless.
Espindola scored his fourth goal of the season in the 27th minute to open the scoring. Olave scored after Javier Morales sent a free kick his way in first-half stoppage time to make it 2-0.
After Saborio scored his two second-half goals, Findley wrapped up the scoring with his second goal of the season during the closing 5 minutes of the game.
