Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft

ST. LOUIS, July 3 (UPI) -- Jaime Garcia and two relievers combined to toss a five-hit shutout Friday and the St. Louis Cardinals whitewashed Milwaukee 5-0.
Garcia (8-4) tossed seven scoreless innings, yielding only three hits, walking two and fanning seven. The rookie left-hander lowered his earned run average to 2.10, third-best in the National League.
Jason Motte and Ryan Franklin completed the shutout with one scoreless inning apiece and the Cardinals stayed 1 1/2 games behind Cincinnati in the NL Central.
Tyler Greene homered and Felipe Lopez went 3-for-4 with three runs scored for the victors.
Chris Narveson (7-5) absorbed the loss for the Brewers, surrendering four runs on seven hits in five innings.
