Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft

NEW YORK, July 3 (UPI) -- Brett Gardner socked a grand slam to highlight an 11-run third inning Saturday and the New York Yankees decimated Toronto 11-3.
Gardner's slam was the first of his career. Alex Rodriguez helped out by driving in four runs and Mark Teixeira collected a pair of doubles and two RBI to lift the Yanks to only their third victory in seven games.
Andy Pettitte (10-2) racked up an easy win, allowing three runs on five hits and a walk in six innings of work.
Toronto starter Ricky Romero (6-5) was bombed for eight runs on seven hits before being pulled after 2 2/3 innings.
The Blue Jays got a homer from Jose Bautista -- his 21st of the season -- and Alex Gonzalez chipped in with a solo shot in the loss.
