Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft

SAN DIEGO, July 1 (UPI) -- Don Coryell, longtime coach of the San Diego Chargers and a pioneer of the modern passing game, died Thursday at his home, the team announced. He was 85.
Coryell led luminaries like Dan Fouts, Kellen Winslow and Charlie Joiner in the "Air Coryell" offense from 1978-1986, leading the NFL in passing offense for six consecutive seasons.
Despite the offensive heroics, the Chargers never reached Super Bowl and Coryell this year came up short in the voting for the Hall of Fame.
Coryell is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame for his stint at San Diego State, where he racked up a 104-19-2 record.
