ANAHEIM, Calif., June 30 (UPI) -- Mike Napoli homered and Bobby Abreu drove in three runs with a bases-loaded double Tuesday to lead the Los Angeles Angels past Texas 6-5.
The win cut the Rangers' lead over second-place Los Angeles in the American League West to 3 1/2 games and gave the Halos their eighth win in their last 11 games.
Joel Pineiro got the win, allowing three runs on eight hits over six innings. Brian Fuentes recorded his 14th save.
Scott Feldman (5-7) took the loss. Feldman allowed five runs on nine hits on 5 2/3 innings.
Feldman left the game in the four-run Angels sixth inning. He was replaced by Darren Oliver, who coughed up the bases-clearing double to Abreu.
Former Angel Vladimir Guerrero led the Rangers offense with three RBI, two of which came in the seventh inning on his 16th home run of the season.
