SAN FRANCISCO, June 30 (UPI) -- Rafael Furcal went 4-for-5 and drove in three runs, Vicente Padilla tossed seven strong innings and the Los Angeles Dodgers routed San Francisco 8-2 Wednesday.
Furcal's two-run homer in the fifth inning put Los Angeles up 4-0 and Matt Kemp (3-for-4, three RBI) followed one later with a solo clout, lifting the Dodgers to a three-game series sweep of the Giants.
Padilla (2-2) held the Giants to one run, notching his first victory since April 16 in making his third start since coming off the disabled list this month. He yielded three hits, walked one and fanned five while raising his career record at AT&T Park to 5-0.
Giants starter Jonathan Sanchez (6-6) was roughed up for five runs (four earned) on six hits in five innings, losing for only the second time in seven starts.
San Francisco dropped its fifth straight and seventh in eight games.
