ST. LOUIS, June 29 (UPI) -- Albert Pujols hit a pair of two-run homers and drove in five runs Tuesday to lead the St. Louis Cardinals to an 8-0 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Pujols went 3-for-4 as part of a 13-hit Cardinals attack that doomed the Diamondbacks to their 18th loss in their last 21 road games.

The performance was the 37th career multi-homer game for Pujols and tied him for first place in Cardinals history with Stan Musial.

Felipe Lopez had four hits and scored three times for St. Louis. Adam Wainwright (11-5) remained undefeated at Busch Stadium by giving up five hits and striking out seven in 6 1/3 innings.

Dontrelle Willis (1-1) took the loss with five runs on seven hits in four-plus innings. Cole Gillespie had two of Arizona's six hits.
