PITTSBURGH, June 28 (UPI) -- Pittsburgh Steelers offensive tackle Willie Colon suffered an Achilles tendon injury Monday, the team said.

The Steelers didn't specify the severity of Colon's injury, which he sustained during a workout. The NFL Network, however, reported the lineman's Achilles is torn and he will likely require season-ending surgery.

The broadcaster said an MRI exam was performed with the results to be revealed Tuesday.

Colon, 27, was taken by the Steelers in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He has started every game at right tackle during the last three seasons.
