PITTSFORD, N.Y., June 27 (UPI) -- Cristie Kerr completed a dominating victory in the LPGA Championship Sunday, firing a 6-under-par 66 to post a record-breaking 12-stroke win.
Kerr, whose only other major LPGA title came at the 2007 U.S. Women's Open, increased her third-round lead of eight shots by four. She set a tournament scoring record by finishing 19 strokes under par at 269.
With the amazing performance -- her second win in three starts -- she also earned the No. 1 spot in this week's women's world rankings.
Song-Hee Kim shot a 3-under 69 at Locust Hill Country Club in Pittsford, N.Y., to finish a distant second at 7-under 281 and former world No. 1 Ai Miyazato registered a 6-under 66 to share third place with Jiyai Shin (71) at minus-5.
In-Kyung Kim (70) and Karrie Webb (71) tied for fifth at minus-4.
