S. Williams, Sharapova win, will meet

LONDON, June 26 (UPI) -- Defending champion Serena Williams will take on Maria Sharapova in the fourth round at Wimbledon after both won their matches Saturday.

Williams defeated Dominika Cibulkova 6-0, 7-5 in a third-round match Saturday, connecting for 19 aces.

The American star cruised through the first set in 18 minutes. She encountered a bit more difficulty in the second frame but still managed to fire 14 aces and collect 25 winners to down the Slovak.

Sixteenth-seeded Sharapova, meanwhile, dispatched Czech Barbora Zahlavova 7-5, 6-3 in another third-round match. She now advances to meet Williams in a rematch of their 2004 Wimbledon final. The two have met eight times, with Williams holding a 5-2 career edge.

Elsewhere at Wimbledon Saturday, Caroline Wozniacki defeated 29th-seeded Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova 7-5, 6-4. She now advances to meet Czech Petra Kvitova, who bounced Victoria Azarenka of Belarus with an upset 7-5, 6-0 win.

Also Saturday, No. 7 seed Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland routed 32nd-seeded Italian Sara Errani 6-3, 6-1, and Klara Zakopalova of the Czech Republic upset tenth-seeded Italian Flavia Pennetta 6-2, 6-3.
