ARLINGTON, Texas, June 26 (UPI) -- Chris Johnson had three RBI Friday, leading Houston to a 7-4 victory that ended the second-longest winning streak in the history of the Texas Rangers.
Texas had won 11 in a row, three short of the franchise record, but the Astros broke the inter-league game open with five runs over the sixth and seventh innings for a 7-2 lead.
Johnson doubled in a run in the second, had an RBI single in the fourth and produced a run-scoring single in the seventh.
Lance Berkman contributed a solo homer in the seventh. Texas committed four errors, but only one of the Houston runs was unearned.
Colby Lewis (7-5), who had won his three previous starts, took the loss by giving up four runs on nine hits in five innings.
A three-run Houston sixth allowed starter Brian Moehler escape with his first win of the season. Moehler (1-4) gave up eight hits and walked three over five innings, but gave up just two runs. Texas left eight runners on base through the first five frames.
Texas left fielder Josh Hamilton went 3-for-5 and extended his hitting streak to 19 games. He raised his batting average to .350, surpassing Minnesota's Justin Morneau for the major league lead.
