BALTIMORE, June 26 (UPI) -- Luke Scott scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch Saturday and the Baltimore Orioles hung on for a 6-5 inter-league win over Washington.

Scott, who had reached on a seventh-inning fielder's choice, went to third on a two-out Matt Wieters single off Sean Burnett (0-4). Nationals Manager Jim Riggleman then brought in Drew Storen, and with pinch-hitter Ty Wigginton at the plate, Storen uncorked a wild pitch, allowing Scott to cross the plate and give the Orioles their margin of victory.

Jason Berken (1-1), Will Ohman and Alfredo Simon combined for three innings of scoreless relief to nail down the win, with Simon picking up his eighth save of the year.

Adam Jones homered and Miguel Tejada went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored for the Orioles, who matched their season high with a third straight win.

Adam Dunn stroked a two-run double for Washington.
