DENVER, June 23 (UPI) -- Jhoulys Chacin allowed four hits over 6 2/3 shutout innings Tuesday to lead the Colorado Rockies to a 2-1 inter-league victory over Boston.
Chacin (4-6) snapped a personal four-game losing streak in besting Jon Lester (8-3) who lost for the first time since April 18. Chacin allowed five walks and struck out five for the Rockies, who have won seven of their last 10 games.
Matt Belisle held on in the ninth inning for his first save.
Todd Helton had two hits and a fifth-inning RBI for Colorado. Carlos Gonzalez also had two hits. Ryan Spilborghs drove in Colorado's second run in the eighth.
Adrian Beltre and Mike Cameron notched two hits apiece for the Red Sox, who avoided the shutout with a run in the ninth inning when Beltre doubled and came home on Cameron's single. It was not enough to keep the Sox's six-game winning streak alive.
